About this camp

In iD Tech BattleBots® Camp, kids and teens transform into robotics engineers, designing, building, and programming their own custom BattleBots® robots. Campers utilize VEX Robotics platforms and C++ programming to bring their creations to life. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning, covering mechanical engineering principles, robot construction, wiring circuit boards, and programming controls. Students also delve into 3D printing to create custom armor and attachments for their bots. The week culminates in exciting BattleBots®-style tournaments and challenges, where participants test their designs against peers in obstacle courses, races, and capture the flag. Beyond technical skills, the camp fosters teamwork, problem-solving, and iterative design, preparing students for future STEM endeavors.
