The NYU Tandon SPARC (Summer Program for Automation, Robotics, and Coding) camp is a two-week, full-day intensive program designed for high school students interested in automation, robotics, and coding. Participants will gain hands-on experience by building and programming their own interactive robotic devices using microcontrollers, sensors, and actuators. The curriculum combines concepts from mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science, covering topics such as basic electrical components, circuits, microcontroller anatomy and programming, and coding constructs like variables, conditionals, and loops. Students will also learn advanced technical skills like interfacing electronic components and performing serial and parallel communication. The program culminates in robot competitions and challenges, allowing students to test their creations in real-world scenarios and develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
