Robofun has over 20 years of experience in offering STEAM programs with a focus on a nurturing environment, experienced teachers, and a curriculum that balances learning and fun through hands-on projects.
Robofun Summer Camp offers an immersive STEAM experience where students in PreK through 8th grade learn coding and game design. Utilizing visual programming languages like Scratch (developed by MIT Media Lab) and Python, campers engage in hands-on projects to build real programming skills. Activities include designing, building, and playing interactive games such as Adventure, Maze, and Platform games, which progressively increase in complexity. Students learn core programming logic, sequencing actions, cause-and-effect, and computational thinking. Beyond coding, the camp fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, iteration, and creativity. The curriculum is designed to transform curiosity into confidence, allowing students to understand how games work behind the scenes and develop the ability to bring their own ideas to life. The week concludes with a student showcase, enhancing presentation and communication skills.
A typical day begins with a class meeting and a "question of the day" to encourage interaction. This is followed by a mini-lesson or diving directly into hands-on project work. Full-day campers have lunch from 12:00-12:30 pm, supervised by Robofun staff, and then engage in outdoor activities or games before their afternoon class.
This camp is best for children who love video games and are eager to learn how to create their own, fostering creativity, problem-solving, and computational thinking in a fun and supportive environment.

New York STEM Summer Camps is a free directory service that aggregates publicly available information about STEM programs, summer camps, and educational opportunities. We do not operate, sponsor, endorse, accredit, certify, or have any affiliation with the camps and programs listed here unless explicitly stated.
All program details — including pricing, session dates, instructor credentials, curriculum, safety policies, refund terms, transportation, meal arrangements, and admission requirements — are sourced from publicly available information and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Listings are partially generated and updated using automated AI-assisted research, which can occasionally produce inaccurate details. Parents and guardians are solely responsible for independently verifying every detail directly with the camp before enrolling, paying, or relying on any information shown here.
